Title: Corp Payroll Manager Location: Corporate Services -- Lake Success Other Locations: As the Payroll Manager, you will manage, plan, organize and evaluate the staff and activities of the Payroll department. In this role, you will provide guidance to staff in problem resolution, process improvement and excellent customer service. You will research, study, and analyze Payroll issues, while ensuring proper payroll administration. Responsibilities include : * Ensures all timesheets and system downloads are in the payroll office in time to process payroll. * Overseas the data entry of all time transactions. * Manages the audits of each weekly and bi-weekly payroll. * Oversees the accurate record keeping of vacation, personal and sick accruals. * Reviews and recommends changes to all Payroll processes and reports. * Ensures all non-bargaining and bargaining units follow appropriate compensation and accrual policies. * Ensures that all New York State Labor requirements are met. * Oversees the distribution of year end W-2 forms to all employees. * Manages and implements staffing requirements. * Prepares reports for unions. * Directs special projects and research assignments. * Oversees customer service to all departments. * Develops and maintains excellent communication with all HR Business Partners and department managers. * Oversees paycheck distribution. * Collaborates with HR Technology team to correct and update Payroll initiatives and problems. * Oversees staff in closing and confirming the PeopleSoft payroll. * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or related field, required. * Minimum of five (5) years Payroll experience, required. Previous experience working in an employee population of at least 5,000 employees. Previous experience leading and building strong work teams, required. Hospital experience, preferred. * Knowledge of PeopleSoft, required. * Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local and regulations, required. * Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems logically and systematically. * Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. * Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Word), required.
